We invite you to join us in sunny southern California the weekend of January 24-26 for AMP’s National Music Parent Symposium! This weekend event will be held in collaboration with the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association’s Conference with support from the NAMM Foundation’s Music Education Days.
You’ll learn from renowned speakers, enjoy exhilarating musical performances, and make valuable contacts with fellow music parents from across the country. Topics featured over the weekend:
- Fundraising from a new perspective
- Working and communicating effectively with your teachers, administrators and community
- The best ways to organize your parent booster groups
- A busy parent’s guide to compelling advocacy for our kids and music education
- Traveling with your group. What you need to know and how to avoid typical mistakes
Presenters to include:

There will be over 90,000 people gathered in Anaheim for the annual NAMM Show. Attend this event with a small group from your school! A few parents will come home with great resources and ideas to really “turn up the volume” on effectiveness with your booster group. Your teachers can benefit greatly from the NAMM Foundation’s Music Education Days.
The cost for this event is just $85 for a parent participant and $25 for their spouse. If you would like to have access to the NAMM Show Exhibits and events on Saturday afternoon and Sunday, there is an additional fee of $25 per person. You will receive an invitation to register for a NAMM Show credential after completing your registration for the conference. This Early Bird pricing expires on December 28th, so don’t delay! After December 28th, each Registration for the National Music Parent Symposium will incur a $25 late fee and NAMM badge registrations after January 3 will also incur an additional $25 late fee.
Who should attend: Any Parent of a school aged music maker; Orchestra, Band, Mariachi, Choir, Garage Band, Piano, or anything else. From parents of beginning music students all the way to officers of well organized booster organizations. This conference is designed for you.
What you’ll learn: Parents, you will have the best resources at hand to better understand the roll music and the arts play in your child’s future. You will network with other parents/organizations, receive and share best practices and leave empowered to make a difference in your community and program.
Registration Fee: $85 per person (Spouse attends for just $25). After December 28 there is a late fee of $25. Registration after January 3, excludes access to the NAMM Show. Conference Only (no lodging).
